FEDERAL LYME BILL

The Lyme Disease Association and the Lyme Disease Foundation and every other major Lyme advocacy group I know is supporting this important federal bill to help advance the cause of Lyme Disease. Please call your local representatives and senators.

The Lyme Disease Foundation knows many of us are poorly educated about politics. They suggest this is one way to call in and be effective and get to the point:

This legislation will help those suffering from Lyme disease & other Tick-Borne disorders in your state and throughout the United States by establishing a Tick-Borne Advisory Committee to provide a public voice into government Lyme disease and Tick-Borne activities.

State Lyme Bills

Many states are pushing bills that allow for full and complete insurance coverage for Lyme treatment and which also protect physicians from being attacked by the Medical State Boards. Many physicians are refusing to treat Lyme and other tick co-infections because it is too dangerous and costly fighting their state board. If you do not let your state senators and representatives you are passionate about this topic, they will ignore you. Donating money to the bill sponsor, speaking up, and voting for or against those who support or ignore the bill is the only way to be heard.
